Katharine McPhee: 'Smash' Premiere Ratings Down From Last Season

Katharine McPhee leaves a taping for the Today show on Tuesday (February 5) in New York City. The 28-year-old actress went on the show to promote her television show Smash, which premiered its second season that evening. The ratings for Smash‘s premiere were down from last year, however. The series brought in 4.5 million viewers and a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49, according to EW, which is down 71 percent from last year’s premiere and down 47 percent from NBC’s performance average in the same time frame.
